American Indians in the U.S.Military. Indian men and women have the same obligations and opportunities for military services as other U.S. citizens. Indeed, they have had a long history of serving with the nation's armed forces, dating back to the Revolutionary War.

It reported that about 3,000 Indian military personnel served in the Persian Gulf of operations. Three Indians men were among those killed in action.
